International Conference on Innovations in Family Engagement

The Kempe Center will be hosting the inaugural 2015 International Conference on Innovations in Family Engagement in Minneapolis this October. This event blends two distinct conferences, the Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) and Other Family Engagement Approaches Conference (held since 1997) and the Differential Response Conference (held since 2005) into one. Presentations will cover a variety of topics for our multi-disciplinary audience, including sessions on Family Group Decision Making, Differential Response, and topics with a wider application to all child and family serving systems. Topical themes for this event include: practice, skills and knowledge, marginalized, underserved and overlooked populations, workforce, aligning systems’ infrastructure with family engagement, family engagement beyond the child welfare system, and research and evaluation.
