In honor of the late Esther Wattenberg, the Center for Advanced Studies in Child Welfare (CASCW) and the Center for Urban and Regional Affairs (CURA) will be hosting the 2022 Esther Wattenberg Policy Forum on December 12th from 8:30am – 10am at the Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs in Minneapolis, MN. We invite you to join us for this special event honoring Esther’s dedication to critical dialogue and policy reform for improving the lives of Minnesota’s children and families.


As part of this special event, we will be presenting the
Esther Wattenberg Policy Award which recognizes exemplary policy work impacting children and families.


The 2022 Esther Wattenberg Policy Award recipient is
Kirsten Anderson of AspireMN. We hope you will join us in celebrating and honoring Kirsten’s work to improve practice through policy for Minnesota’s children and families.
Sue Abderholdern,
past Watttenberg Award recipient and Executive Director of NAMI Minnesota, will also be joining us as the keynote speaker, highlighting the importance of interdisciplinary policyto better services and supports children and  families across Minnesota.
