CASCW and Channel Lowery (in partnership with Dr. Ceema Samini) will host a one hour virtual training.

Engaging with Parents about School Discipline and Online Learning

Many families, as well as school and human service professionals, continue to reflect on the impact of the pandemic. This webinar will present an overview of a research study examining parental perspectives on school discipline and online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. For example, what has it been like for parents balancing working and assisting their children with being in an online school environment? What has been the experience for parents in accessing and navigating online school resources and applications? The background of the study, implications, and additional considerations will be discussed as they relate to child welfare workers interacting with parents.
