“Working with Sophia Thompson and the entire Family Assessment team at Ramsey County has been a wonderful experience thus far. This opportunity has given me excellent experience and prepared me to face the real world with much confidence and growth. Working closely with my supervisor Sophia has allowed me to gain intensive knowledge about child welfare and serving families and their children. I appreciate her patience with me through this roller coaster of a semester. I have learned how to write the concise case notes, interviewing families, learning how to close cases and more. I really enjoyed completing my internship at Ramsey County and kindness and willingness to assist me from all the staff and allowing me to shadow them.”
