The Minnesota legislative session will end on May 19, and lawmakers are still working to pass major legislation that will affect children and families across the state. In particular, the Children and Families omnibus bill has yet to be passed by either body of the legislature. Additional issues, such as the children’s boarding crisis and the omnibus bill for human services, also await resolution.
CACSW takes a deeper dive into these and other state and national legislative developments below. To stay abreast of child welfare legislation, check out our regularly updated Bill Tracker. (Note: the inclusion of bills does not indicate a position for or against a particular policy.)
